We booked a non-smoking room through Agoda for two nights but were given a smoking room, and it wasn't communicated at check-in. We didn't realize this until we came back to the room in the evening. We tried to sleep but couldn't because the smell was so strong. We asked the reception to switch our room but all they said was they were fully booked, no apologies. Right before we asked the question, we overheard this gentleman from Agoda was given a non-smoking room and it was 11pm. Odd, we checked in in the afternoon but he had better luck. They gave us a humidifier to help rid of the smell, but it still lingered until the day we checked out.
We didn't try to switch rooms again as we left for Mount Bromo the next day and checked out early the following morning. The check out was also weird, instead of informing us that we didn't use our deposited money they told us that they didn't have records that we put down money for a deposit. That left us confused. The staff needs better customer service training for sure. Most Indonesian hotels have great customer service but this hotel is definitely not one of them. Good location though.
I stay at this hotel for 2 days with 2 kids, i choose non smoking room and they keep give me smoking room because they said all room already full. The condition of the room is bad.
Some part of furniture is rusty and dirty, unclean glass, and smoke STRONG smell. I can’t sleep all the night with my kids has asma (breath problem) and cannot sleep until 2 am. What a crazy moment with nebulizer on holiday. Finally on the 2nd day, i give complain to reception, they send ozonizer to my room but don’t give any other solution.
The room still smell bad of smoking odor. Ironically, even their manager don’t want to meet to solve the problem. This is my 1st experience to be humiliated with hotel manager like this. I pay for staying on this hotel and i got undervalued and disappointing level of service.
If u want good location for ur hotel, maybe this hotel the answer. But if u want good service, good atmosphere and good room, i WILL NOT recommended this hotel aria gajayana. I’ve been anywhere in the world (Macca, Thai, KL, Sg, HK, Japan, etc. Even day before we stay at other 5 star hotel in Malang), but NOTHING’s like this hotel. This hotel ask me to pay charge of breakfast 125k for my kids which still under 6 years old and we stay in executive room #825 and we already called the hotel before and confirmed that our hotel room (include breakfast) is for 2 adults + 2 kids. It’s not only about how they ask me to pay, but THE WAY the ask me to pay. The restaurant staffs ask me untill 3 times, although i already say ‘OK, charge to the room deposit’ from the first time, they keep asking and BOTHERING ME AND MY FAMILY.
Really really unprofessional. Also about the parking. The reception name FITRI ANDINI NEVER ASK the plat number when we the suddenly i cannot out from the parking lot unless i pay 200k or got back to the reception to ask the hotel to register the plat number of my car. Really really unproffessional and dissapointed staffs. Untill the hotel manager ask apologies to me personally, I WILL NEVER2 STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN AND SUGGEST EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY WITH THIS HOTEL.
Even Im not leaving the hotel yet, but cant wait to write the review! Really dissapointed, if you want to be considered as a customer dont stay here! When I book thru, I mentioned ALREADY to have the extra bed, when Im check in, its not prepared yet. Waiting in the room, then I was ask how to cancel it since they have sofabed, but finally I still decide to use it. Until Im leaving 2h later, its not installed yet. After I was leaving to got my dinner, guess what, registration of my car license plate was not done, what are you doing during check in process miss??? Then back to the room, really disappointed, extra bed installed, no pillow and no blanket!!
I NEVER STAY IN HOTEL WITH EXTRA BED WITHOUT PILLOW AND BLANKET! AROUND THE WORLD! When I asked, where was the pillow and blanket, they checking and after 10 min they inform pillow will be provided but no blanket available! Hello, do you know we stay in hotel with Air Con without blanket!! But still not over, day 2, early in the morning I was back to front office since my dad cant sleep since it was too cold for him, thus I asked the blanket to be provided. But in 9PM when I back to the hotel, STILL NO BLANKET AND THEY SAID SINCE THE BLANKET IS ALREADY GONE SINCE YESTERDAY!
I was back to the front office early in the morning, was expecting if there is anyone check out which I believe it should be at least 1 room with extra bed, the I will be prioritized since I was arrived since yesterday with many complaints. But seems my expectation was too much as customer, DONT EXPECT TOO MUCH TO BE HEARED IN THIS HOTEL! YOU ARE NOTHING HERE!
